There is no movement by the order picker in the sorting systems method. Rather, stuff are delivered to the orderpicker by an automatic system like for example a conveyor system or an automatic storage system. In the zone picking method, each order picker is assigned to one specific zone. They are responsible for just realizing order picking within this particular zone.
